Whether you’re visiting for routine foot care or have specific concerns, Teiber’s Nursing Foot Care is here to help you feel informed and comfortable. Following are answers to questions we hear most often.

Who can benefit from nursing foot care?
Nursing foot care is beneficial for adults of all ages. Whether you’re living with diabetes, finding it difficult to care for your own feet, managing thickened nails or calluses, or simply looking for foot maintenance, professional foot care can help support your comfort and mobility.
What happens during my appointment?
Each appointment begins with a foot assessment to better understand your needs. Depending on your concerns, your visit may include nail care, reduction of thickened nails, corn and callus reduction, preventative foot care, and education to help you maintain healthy feet between appointments.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can contact Teiber’s Nursing Foot Care directly to book an appointment. If concerns arise that should be discussed further, we can refer you to a physician.
Do you provide diabetic foot care?
Yes. Diabetic foot care is one of our areas of focus. We provide professional foot assessments, preventative care, and education to help reduce the risk of complications and support long-term foot health.
How often should I book an appointment?
The frequency of appointments depends on your individual needs and foot health. Many clients benefit from regular visits to help manage thickened nails, calluses, or ongoing foot concerns and to prevent problems from becoming more serious.
What makes nursing foot care different from a pedicure?
Nursing foot care is focussed on your health rather than cosmetic appearance. Services are provided in a professional clinical setting using sterilized instruments and control practices, with attention to underlying health conditions and preventative foot care.
How is sterilization handled?

All instruments are thoroughly cleaned and then sterilized with an autoclave as per OHS Standards after each use.

Are my discussions confidential & documented?

Yes they are.  All appointments are confidential until the client directs Teiber Nursing Foot Care to discuss particulars with other health care providers – physician or podiatrist.  The discussions between these parties are also confidential.

Appointments and procedures are documented to show what has or has not worked, and progress on any issues.

Who can do Nursing Foot Care?

Over and above Nurses Training, advance care practices require advanced foot care education through the government and through the Nursing Association.

Can my appointment be claimed on insurance or income tax?

All receipts from Teiber Nursing Foot Care contain the Business Registration Number and Licenced Practical Nurse number for insurance and Income Tax purposes.  Check with your provider if these appointments are covered.
